Currently, Jon has a limited ability to participate in sports but is very keen to be a part of a team. His health issues have not stopped his enthusiasm or willingness to help in any way to the team's success. He takes each task with eagerness and drive to show his teammates that you need to give everything you have to reach your goals. Off the field Jon is a 'fireball' and wants to learn more by asking questions and striving to become a better athlete and person. Jon is a great ambassador for Special Olympics in his desire to be the best you can, but more importantly, he is a first-class citizen who upholds the Special Olympics athlete's oath "let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt". Congratulations Jon on being this month's Wheaton Kia Spotlight Athlete of the Month.
